Melanie brings over 20 years of experience from the Kinderspital Bern, including 11.5 years in the emergency centre for children and adolescents. There she played a key role in integrating hypnosis into everyday clinical practice to ease painful interventions and reduce anxiety.
Since 2020 she has worked as a hypnotherapist in her own practice — full-time since summer 2024 — and recently also as an independent “mobile HypnoNurse”, bringing her expertise directly to where it is needed. Ongoing training, including NLP, shapes her practical, effective style.
A highlight was her participation at the Hypnosis Congress in Brazil, where she presented on “Hypnosis in Hospitals”. As an experienced nurse, Melanie is co-founder of HypnoNurse and took on the role of instructor with great enthusiasm. Since 2023 she has been training medical staff in hypnosis and short, practical techniques — with outstanding feedback on bedside use, admissions and wound care.
What drives her? Brazil, Capoeira, music from Samba to Forró — and above all the conviction that change begins with attention. Her message: everything done in medicine can be supported by hypnosis — because imagination is often more powerful than pure knowledge.
